Microbe Library
http://www.microbelibrary .org/index.asp
|
This site contains over 1000 images targeted at education of undergraduates on microbiology. In order to access all of these images a subscription is required although around 400 are available without a subscription but registration is required for this option. There is comprehensive information provided with each image and the images are of good quality. This site is expanding as more information is put on regularly, although the subscription and registration rules make it tedious to get into the information initially. From time to time however, free demos are available and this proves that subscription is worthwhile, in particular for teachers and lecturers. See http://www.microbelibrary.org/subscribe/index.asp for details.
Copyright information:
The resources from this site can only be used in the following ways without permission; 1) classroom purposes such as faculty presentations and course notes, student presentations and projects; 2) laboratory manuals or handout packets that are assembled by faculty for a single course and disseminated at cost to students enrolled in the course by the faculty or third party vendor such as a campus bookstore; and 3) websites for non-commercial educational purposes. For more information see http://www.microbelibrary.org/about/index.asp?bid=221#restrictions.
